Description
HEXALON is a highly effective systemic fungicide containing Hexaconazole 5% SC, belonging to the triazole group of fungicides and widely trusted by farmers across India for reliable control of a broad spectrum of fungal diseases in rice, fruit crops, vegetables and tea. Hexaconazole works by inhibiting the enzyme lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase in the ergosterol biosynthesis pathway of fungal cells — disrupting cell membrane formation and causing complete cessation of fungal growth and reproduction. This sterol biosynthesis inhibition mechanism gives Hexaconazole both preventive and curative activity — it prevents new fungal infections when applied before disease onset and stops existing infections from spreading when applied after first symptoms appear.
HEXALON is particularly valued for its outstanding efficacy against sheath blight in rice — one of the most destructive fungal diseases in paddy cultivation across India — where timely application during the tillering and panicle initiation stages provides reliable disease suppression and significant yield protection. It is equally effective against powdery mildew in grapes and vegetables, anthracnose in mango and chilli, and a wide range of leaf spot and rust diseases across multiple crops — making it one of the most versatile fungicide options available to Indian farmers.
HEXALON suspension concentrate formulation ensures excellent mixing in water, uniform spray coverage and strong adhesion to leaf and stem surfaces for maximum disease control efficacy. Its systemic activity allows rapid absorption through the leaf cuticle and translocation throughout the plant — providing protection to new growth and plant parts not directly contacted by the spray. With long residual activity of up to 20–25 days per application, HEXALON significantly reduces the number of fungicide sprays required during the crop season — saving time, labour and overall input costs while delivering reliable and consistent disease control. For best results apply preventively during periods of high disease risk and rotate with fungicides of different mode of action to prevent resistance development in fungal populations.
