PROPIMAX is a highly effective systemic fungicide containing Propiconazole 25% EC, belonging to the triazole group of fungicides and widely trusted by farmers across India for reliable control of rust diseases, leaf spots, powdery mildew and a broad spectrum of other fungal diseases in wheat, rice, maize, fruit crops and vegetables. Propiconazole works by inhibiting the enzyme lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase in the ergosterol biosynthesis pathway of fungal cells — disrupting cell membrane formation and causing complete cessation of fungal growth and spore production. This sterol biosynthesis inhibition mechanism gives PROPIMAX both preventive and curative activity — preventing new infections when applied before disease onset and stopping established infections from spreading when applied after first symptoms appear.
