Description
IMISECT is a highly effective systemic insecticide containing Imidacloprid 17.8% SL, belonging to the neonicotinoid group of insecticides and one of the most widely used and trusted crop protection products in Indian agriculture. It works by binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the insect nervous system, causing continuous nerve stimulation, paralysis and death of the target pest. Its strong systemic activity ensures complete protection of the entire plant — including new growth — from sucking pest damage.
One of the key strengths of IMISECT is its versatility of application — it can be used as a foliar spray, soil drench or seed treatment depending on the crop, pest and situation. As a foliar spray it provides fast knockdown of above-ground sucking pests. As a soil drench at transplanting time it protects young seedlings during their most vulnerable early establishment phase. As a seed treatment it provides systemic protection from the very moment of germination — giving crops the best possible start free from sucking pest pressure.
With a long residual activity of up to 20–25 days and an extremely low application rate of just 80–100 ml per acre for foliar spray, IMISECT is one of the most economical systemic insecticide options available to farmers today. It is particularly effective against whiteflies and aphids which are vectors of serious viral diseases in cotton, tomato and chilli crops — providing not just direct pest control but also indirect protection against virus transmission. For best results, apply at the first sign of pest infestation and rotate with insecticides of different mode of action to prevent resistance development in target pest populations.
