Description

DIFUNG is a premium quality broad-spectrum combination fungicide containing Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% SC, bringing together two of the most powerful and complementary fungicide molecules from completely different chemical groups for comprehensive and long lasting disease control. Azoxystrobin belongs to the strobilurin group of fungicides and works by inhibiting mitochondrial respiration in fungal cells through blocking the electron transport chain at the Qo site of cytochrome bc1 complex — preventing ATP energy production and causing complete cessation of fungal growth. Difenoconazole belongs to the triazole group and works by inhibiting sterol biosynthesis through blocking the enzyme lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase — disrupting fungal cell membrane formation and integrity.
