Description

GLUFONIL is a highly effective broad-spectrum contact herbicide containing Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% SL, widely used for total weed control in plantation crops, orchards and non-crop areas. It works by inhibiting the enzyme glutamine synthetase, causing rapid accumulation of ammonia within plant cells which disrupts photosynthesis and leads to complete cell destruction within 2–4 days of application.

Unlike Glyphosate, GLUFONIL has very low soil persistence — it is rapidly broken down by soil microorganisms, making it a more environment-friendly option for weed management. Its soluble liquid formulation ensures easy mixing, quick absorption through leaf surface and fast knockdown of even dense weed growth.

GLUFONIL is best applied as a directed spray on actively growing weeds during dry weather conditions. It is particularly effective in inter-row weed management in plantation crops and orchard floors where complete weed elimination is required without disturbing the soil structure.
